Victorian High Country - Omeo Base Camp - Jan 2025

7-day family friendly trip, based in a camp area near Omeo, with op-in day trips to surrounding 4WD tracks and attractions.

Proposed day tips include:

• Mt Hotham, Blue Rag Track, via the Great Alpine Way. Other tracks in the Hotham area depending on time / traffic.
• Knocker Track, Omeo Highway, Razorback Spur, Wombat PO Hut, Taylors Crossing, then back via Kellys Rd. Stop in at Anglers Rest (Blue Duck Inn).
• Washington Winch, Moscow Villa Hut, Ensay, Swifts Creek, Cassillis return.
• Drive to Buchan Caves for a guided cave tour and lunch.
• Rest day – with a visit to Omeo for a pub lunch, shopping, walk around the Oriental Claims Historical Area or mountain biking at Omeo’s new tracks.
• Or just relax, swim and do nothing.
