NSW Office of Sport Grant

20th May 2025
Thanks to Anne Symonds, last year's Secretary, for all her hard work in obtaining funding from the NSW Government Office of Sport, allowing the Club to purchase a defibrillator. Click through for more details

Our former Secretary, Anne Symonds, applied for funding to allow access to defibrillation in rural, regional, remote and very remote locations, often only accessible by 4WD.

The funding from NSW Government Office of Sport fully covered the cost of the defibrillator, carry case and additional equipment needed to use it effectively. The Club paid for the freight and handling.

The Club now has access to two defibrillators, ensuring that one is permanently available at the Club Land, with the other available for use on Club Trips. With upcoming events to the Kimberley, Cape York and the Simpson Desert, this is a great resource for the Club.

Full details on how to borrow the defibrillator will be available in a forthcoming update to Making Tracks, available in the Library. In the meantime, contact anyone on the Committee for further details.
